Kamui Kobayashi
- Born in Hyogo Prefecture on September 13, 1986.
- His four-wheeled racing debut came with Formula Toyota in 2002 at
the age of 15. - Starting in 2004, he competed the Formula 3 Euro series of European Formula racing as a member of the Toyota Young Drivers Program (TDP).
- He began competing as a full-time F1 driver in 2010, and he came in 3rd in the 2012 Japanese Grand Prix.
- He began competing as a full-time WEC driver in 2016 and earned his first victory at the 2016 6 Hours of Fuji, round 7 of the 2016 World Endurance Championship.
- He set a new course record at 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2017 and earned a pole position.
- He also earned the overall victory at the 2019 24 Hours of Daytona as a fill-in driver.
